From the Articles of Organization filed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the purpose of People Who Give a Damn, Inc., is to engage in the following activities:
- To build, fund, and promote the technical and physical infrastructure needed to connect people who care about making their own or others' lives better in one or many ways,
- To educate the public about tools to help people meet, co-ordinate, and act together,
- To foster and support democratic decision-making,
- To conduct any other charitable and educational activities as authorized by Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws and approved by the Board of Directors.
